The owners and editors of Vikingsmashbrewing.com reserve the right to use affiliate programs to generate income needed to keep Viking Smash free and uncluttered.
Viking Smash does NOT take money in order to review a product, run a promotion, or conduct a giveaway. Nor do we keep free samples if it’s possible to send them back. We believe in staying as independent and unbiased as we can, but we also realize that when there’s an opportunity to use an affiliate program to generate income, it’s a smart decision to make use of it.
What’s an affiliate program? Affiliate programs allow retailers and brands to track where clicks to their websites are coming from. A commission (y’know, dollars, sometimes cents) can be paid out to that website (in this case, us, Viking Smash) if the person chooses to buy the product.
Our affiliate programs include Amazon.com at the moment. Does our relationship with these brands influence what goes up on the site? Absolutely not.
It’s honestly best to assume that every single last link that points to a retailer has some sort of affiliate connection to us. That’d be the goal at least. Again, that doesn’t influence our content or our opinions on products. Here’s why…
The writers of Viking Smash pride themselves on being a down to earth bunch with good brewing judgement, so know that they won’t be pushing crap just to make a couple of bucks. Because if it’s crap… you the visitor will stop visiting. And if you stop visiting, what’s the point?
