However, after home brewing for about 3 years, I’ve found that a great gift for Dads out there is something attached to a hobby. Hobbies for guys are usually man stuff like outdoor activities, hunting, shooting, or cars. One of the best man hobbies is brewing beer.
Think about it this way, men like their beer. They also like to be self reliant for things. You put those together and you have home brewing. How I got started in home brewing
A number of years ago I was really into beer. I was working in a beer distributor at the time and was constantly surrounded by top tier beers made by craftsmen. In that environment, it’s had not to start thinking about making your own.
My brother surprised me on Christmas by getting me a beginner home brewing kit. His good friend from college started out as a home brewer himself and turned the hobby into a very successful brewery. He consulted with his friend on what to get and made the purchase.
Ever since that time I had a new hobby to play with. I’ve been making beers and meads of all kinds and now have a marketable skill I can play around with. Sitting in my basement right now is a few cases of brew that I created.
